About Us
Sara Baker founded Baker Home Healthcare because it is her passion to provide compassionate quality care for seniors after she spent time assisting her mother and other seniors in a memory care facility. It was there that she realized her lifelong calling. Even at an early age, she knew how important it was to care for others, both seniors and young people, who needed extra help.
After assisting in the family care business and learning how best to relate to the needs of seniors, Sara took the first step in fulfilling her dream of starting a company dedicated to providing in home services to those in need, balanced with the dignity and respect they deserve. “At first it was tough; I believe you’ve got to prove you have what it takes to stand on your own two feet. Thankfully, I learned so much about running a business from my father and how to act with patience and love with my aging mother. After making a dramatic cognitive recovery and continually learning to stand on her own, my mother and I can laugh now, but we weren’t laughing then. Early on, it was exceedingly difficult. I literally had to help her with all her daily living needs, 24 hours a day. It was tough, but I loved every minute of it, and it prepared me with the skills necessary to bring that same care and compassion to others in need,” recalls Sara.

Ensuring to pay attention to the “little things” is an important contributor to quality of home care. Paying attention occurs by listening, noticing details, and taking actions. These are crucial factors in providing quality person centered care. When all staff and families work together to detect signs of potential change in a client’s care needs, proper decision-making can be shared to benefit clients’ outcome. Our team works hard at creating open and transparent lines of communication with our clients, families, and caregivers. This in turn facilitates effective peer and supervisory relationships allowing everybody to work together towards one common goal by focusing on client’s needs, interests and wishes.
